HOW TO: Re-Subscribe to the DotNetNuke® Newsletter  (United States)

Originally Published at:  http://blog.strohlsitedesign.com/Blog/tabid/66/EntryID/137/Default.aspx

It has been a LONG time since I received the DNN newsletter.  I didn't think too much of it, as I just assumed that there wasn't one being sent out any longer.  I just figured that whatever was needing to be said was done through the DNN Blogs.  (I know, I know.  If you assume...)

This was true until March, when I found out that I was mentioned in the DNN newsletter.  Of course, I wanted to find out what this was about, but without the newsletter, that would prove difficult.

I visited and searched the forums and began to find others who were no longer receiving the newsletter.  After looking through the DNN site itself, I almost gave up on trying to get my e-mail address back into the DNN newsletter mailing list.

The next thing I tried, was I had someone forward me a copy of the newsletter.  Eureka!  I quickly found a way to get back on the mailing list, but it was not at all straightforward.  Follow these steps:

  1. Have someone forward the newsletter to you.  (This is sometimes the hardest part for some folks.)
  2. Click on the "View in Web Browser" link at the top.
  3. Click on the "Forward to a Friend" image link on the right panel.
  4. Forward the newsletter to yourself.
  5. Open the forwarded newsletter in your e-mail.
  6. Click the "Subscribe" link at the top of the newsletter.
  7. Follow the prompts in the form in the page that loads.

Following those steps is what got me to receive the April newsletter.  Hooray!
