Hello User Group Member:

Thank you to everyone that came to last night's meeting.  It really was a great time.  I hope to see more of you at the next meeting.

January Meeting Recap

Last night's meeting was incredible.  We had food catered byCafe Tu Tu Tango, thanks to VACO Technology.  Ana Wilson has been a really huge supporter of the ODUG during the last two months.  Please consider her if you are looking for a job, or looking to hire.

Stan did a fantastic job showing us all of the ins and outs of module development.  Even if you weren't a developer, the presentation was done in a way to help you understand why things work the way they do.  That's very important for everyone, even if they are only using and not building modules.

Our after-party was really great.  A handful of us drove 2.5 miles to the closest TGI Friday's and had a couple of drinks while we all talked shop.  Stan was really accomodating of questions, but overall it was just great to speak to each other in the different atmosphere.

I really want to thank all of our sponsors, especially VACO.  Without you, we would not be half as successful as we are right now.  I would also like to thank Stan Schultes.  He drove 2 hours to speak to the ODUG, and then drove the 2 hours back following the after party.  I also want to thank Ken Tucker (our INETA sponsor andSCDNUG President), and Andy Warren (OPASS President) for coming and supporting the ODUG.

Next Meeting Tuesday, Feb. 3 @ 7:00 PM

Our next meeting brings Darrell Hardy in to us from the Space Coast to present DotNetNuke® 5: A Peak Under the Hood.  He is a co-author of the Professional DotNetNuke 5 book due to release in March, by Wrox.  This is an important meeting to attend, even if you're not a developer.  This is very important information that will help you to understand why certain features work the way that they do.  If you're a developer, that still applies, but this information will also help you write code faster, and smarter.  If you know any DNN developers, let them know that this is a meeting that you should not miss!

The after party was a success, so we will be doing it again.  Plan to hang out after the meeting.  We'd love to see you there!

Remember, we will still have plenty of giveaways, and will be broadcasting LIVE from our website!  Please REGISTER at Code Zone to let us know you're attending, so we order enough food.  Don't forget!
