November Newsletter (late)  (United States) Modified By Will Strohl on 11/14/2008 10:57:28 AM

Hello User Group Member:

I cannot wait to see you all again at the next meeting.  Please make sure that you register for the meeting at Code Zone. Registration and attendance is always FREE!  See the details below...

News

Meeting Next Thursday, Nov. 20 @ 7:00 PM

Our next meeting is only one week away...  I am more excited about this meeting than any other meeting so far for three reasons.

  1. Session Content - David Bayer from Databanq Media will be talking to us about how you can use DotNetNuke® to effectively manage your business.  I have seen first-hand what him and his team can do.  If you don't come to any other meeting thing year - you NEED to come to this one!
  2. ODUG is LIVE! - Our meeting will be broadcast live.  Once the meeting begins, we will begin broadcasting.  If for some reason you cannot attend, this will allow you to view and chat with us during the meeting.

  3. DNN Authors - Two of the authors of the upcoming Professional DotNetNuke 5 book by Wrox will be in attendance.  Darrell Hardy and our founder, Brian Scarbeau will be with us.  (I can't wait to see you guys.  It's been a while!)

We will of course have plenty of giveaways.  Please REGISTER at Code Zone to let us know you're attending. This is also how you will be entered into the raffle contest.  Don't forget!

New Meeting Location

We were running out of room and having other difficulties in our current meeting location.  For those reasons, we have moved our meeting to a new location, but it is literally only a few blocks away from the previous location.

Need a New Food & Beverage Sponsor

Don't worry everyone...  We will have food and beverages at our next meeting no matter what, but we do need a new sponsor.

Our usual food and beverage sponsor has just let me know that they will be unable to sponsor us for November.  That give us the opportunity to meet someone new and learn about a new company.  Do you or someone you know what to sponsor the ODUG meeting(s) for food and beverages?  It is not a one way street.  Sponsorship gives you advertising on our site, shameless plugs from me, and a chance to speak directly to our ODUG members before our speaker begins.  Let me know!

Upcoming Local User Group Events

See our events calendar for more details...

Closing Remarks

In closing, I would like to remind you about the ODUG CafePress store now.  Get your ODUG swag and show it off at our next meeting!  :)  See you then!

ODUG President
