I have taken over responsability for a DNN site that I will be completely redoing, but it has a problem I want to fix before going on. As I'm new to DNN and remotely hosted web sites (it's on GoDaddy) it's a little out of my experience.

Right now we have and ASP.NET site with a link to the DNN portal. The ASP.NET site is open and requires no login. The DNN portal does require a login/registration. The problem is that it displays the login prompts twice (I noticed the 2nd time displays a different URL). If we correctly enter the credentials twice we get it fine. the 2nd URL I see is listed as and HTTP alias (and it's a wierd one... not sure why it would be there). I can not edit or remove that http alias (not sure if that is even related to the problem).

If anyone has any clue what might be going on that would be great.

I would also consider paying someone with the right experience to set down with me and go over the existing set up and what is right or wrong with it, as long as the fee isn't too high. This is for a non-profit organization so I would be paying out of my own pocket for the help.

I think once i get past this (and getting a version installed on my local machine) I'll be fine doing the rest myself (I've done asp.net before). But just need to get a jump start.

The site was set up by someone even less experienced than me and he isn't available for questions.

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer.
