President

The President is the chief executive officer, chairs the Board of Directors, and is an ex officio member of all committees. The President is responsible for the performance of all officer and members of the Board of Directors. The President shall call for nominations of any Officer or Director who misses two consecutive meetings of the Board of Directors.

Kurt Amstutz

Kurt AmstutzKurt Amstutz is an ASP.Net developer living and working in Orlando, FL.  Currently he is part of the applications development team at PBS&J, an engineering, environmental science, architecture and planning, corporation with more than 75 offices worldwide.  Kurt is an active member and Vice President of the Orlando DotNetNuke® Users Group (orlando.dotnetnukeug.net).  When not preaching about DotNetNuke®, Kurt enjoys photography, food and motorcycling.  Recently he has launched a new website showcasing his wife Ailza's cooking and his food photography.  (www.kurtamstutz.com).  Kurt lived in South America for nearly 15 years and speaks fluent Portuguese.

Vice President

The Vice-President assists the President with all activities and functions of the organization. The Vice-President accepts nominations for members of the Board of Directors an appointment of officers, determines eligibility, and makes recommendations to the President. The Vice-President will sign all checks for the organization as presented by the Treasurer and approved by the President.

Director of Education

The Education Director will assist the President with selecting, arranging, and coordinating presentations for the monthly meetings, code camps, and all other educational, networking, and social events as specified by the President.

Darrell Hardy

Darrell HardyDarrell Hardy has been designing and building data driven applications for over 20 years.  Having spent several years working with a management consulting firm, he brings to the table not only technical expertise but also an understanding of the business side of the equation.  His passion is for software that matches business processes and allows for improvements in the business process as well as the software.  Currently Darrell is the Vice President of Hardy Consulting, Inc. (http://www.hardyconsulting.com/) and manages several domestic and international accounts.  He enjoys speaking, teaching, problem solving and helping people become problem solvers.

Director of Marketing

The Marketing Director is responsible for recruiting and maintaining relationships with all ODUG sponsors, including those who donate door prizes, and those who sponsor the monthly meetings. This position is responsible for these duties for the monthly meetings, code camps, and all other educations, networking, and social events as specified by the President. The Marketing Director also is responsible for regularly announcing the ODUG meetings on the DNN forums (http://forums.dotnetnuke.com).

Alex Buckles

Alex BucklesAlex Buckles is fairly new to the DNN community. He currently runs the marketing department for a software company based out of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL called Focus!...On Innovation, Inc. They provide a very unique web based application, called e-SURETY™, to the surety departments of large P&C insurance companies. Prior to working for Focus! he spent four years in The Marine Corps. Alex hopes to help grow the Orlando DotNetNuke® Users Group to it’s fullest potential by increasing the benefits ODUG provides to it’s member base and by building and maintaining relationships throughout the DNN community.

Secretary

The Secretary maintains minutes of the meetings of the Board of Directors, all correspondence, and inventory of all equipment belonging to ODUG. The Secretary has membership oversight which includes maintaining the membership list and voting list. Additionally, the Secretary is responsible for sending out all meeting notifications and newsletters on behalf of the ODUG.

Chris Chubb

Chris ChubbChris Chubb is a long-time DotNetNuke user and is always preaching the gospel of DNN to other developers and users. Chris has run his independent programming shop, Code Gurus, Inc., for 15 years using a mix of solid development skills, a commitment to continuous learning and improvement and a stiff dose of a sense of humor. Occasionally delving into the dark side of PHP and Apache, Chris tries his best to be bilingual and language agnostic with respect to content management systems, he will freely admit that there is no better CMS for the money than DNN.

Treasurer

The Treasurer shall have custody of all financial books and papers, collect revenues from events, and record all transactions of all funds via bank, saving, and investment accounts approved by the Board of Directors. The Treasurer will provide an annual financial report and tax filings as required by law.

User Group Founder

Brian Scarbeau was the first person to register the ODUG through the DotNetNuke® website, and coordinated our first meetings. Without him, there's no telling what the ODUG would be, or if it would even exist.

Brian ScarbeauODUG founder, Brian Scarbeau, is a fomer Microsoft MVP for 5 years and a seasoned computer science trainer. He has his MBA and Certifications as a Webmaster and Network Instructor. He has spoken at various Code Camps about DotNetNuke® and he has developed DotNetNuke® curriculum and a series of webcasts for Microsoft Corporation. He was also selected by Microsoft Corporation to be part of a Faculty Advisory Board. He has traveled the United States and Canada conducting training seminars on .NET products. Brian was co-author of the Wrox Professional book DotNetNuke 5 Open Source Web Application Framework for ASP.NET.
