"I first learned about DotNetNuke® about a month after building my own portal that was also based on IBuySpy.  However, mine already had many of the features that DNN v2.0 had.  Due to the overall maintenance required on my own portal, I didn't really begin getting involved with DNN until just before version  3.0 was announced.  Since then, I have been active in the community and using DNN in all projects where it would fit."
